Hi guys,

Can anyone rustle together a 9700k bundle which I can build in my NZXT S340?

I'm after 9700K with or without cooler. Have an old Corsair H100 at the moment which is still trundling along.

16GB RAM DDR4 not fussed on frequency as won't be overclocking it.

Nice easy to overclock motherboard although 9700k does boost to 4.9GHZ so should be fine for me!

Budget around £600-£700.

System to be used mainly for flightsim mainly P3D.

Thanks a lot,
Alex.

Would something like the above be okay?

I would go with a Z390 chipset board so you don't need to mess with a bios update. The Aorus Elite is £20 more but it's a much better board.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £190.49 (includes shipping: £10.50)

Or a couple of cheaper options.

I was looking on the website searching for a premade 9700k bundle but I didn't find anything suitable. I echo what Lee said about the z390, it is the better platform and you wont have bios compatibility issues.

You could still go z370 but you may need to contact ocuk to make sure the board bios is updated to the latest. If not you might need an 8 series cpu installed to flash to the new bios before putting the 9700k in.

Only Z390 bundles I can see are the overclocked ones.

I would take one of the other options just for aesthetics, but that is just me :D I know they share the same/similar VRM with the non Aorus ones ?

They’re all compatible then? Not too bothered about aesthetics if I’m honest. Thank you!

So how does this look? Does the 9700k overclock reasonably well? Will keep my H100 cooler for now with my 1070 GPU. Could have the M2 SSD for my OS?

looks good, h100 should be able to handler it due to be soldered unlike 8th gen series , personally would push double the GB size for less speed, that would wouldn't notice the difference to much :)

Guys is the Gigabyte Board generally the best one to get. As I do prefer the aesthetics of the Asus prime Z390?
