I wanted to take advantage of this package price. I was about to pay and saw another £29.99 has been added for the bundled cooler. Why is this I thought it came with the bundle?

Help please I want to buy tonight.

The bundle price is £579.97 inc VAT, but when added to the cart it lists the cooler separately as there is more than one option for it.

£549.98 + £29.99 = £579.97

So you are only paying £579.97 as listed on the package page. I would imagine it is done that way so it makes it clear to the order pickers which cooler you want, as there are three options.

If you go into the checkout, it just adds the cooler on separately. The total price is the same as advertised + delivery charge.

However, I would suggest looking at this bundle instead. Its just as fast and £74 cheaper.

The chip may be newer but the technology is identical. Both the 920 and the 930 are based on the Nahalem Architecture, Bloomfield Cores and D0 steppings. The only difference is that the 930 has a x21 maximum multiplier while the 920 has a x20 multiplier. If they are both running at the same clockspeed (both kits are at 4GHz) then there is no performance difference between the two.

Beat me to it! ;) What cmndr_andi says is true, the only difference is the multiplier. No point paying £74 extra for the same 4Ghz clock speed, they both have the same resulting speed and performance.

Thanks a lot for the advice and saving me a bit of cash :)

I'm going for the 920 bundle then.

Good to hear, happy to help.

I'm seriously considering this package but i want the noctua cooler, not the titan...and this package doesnt seem to offer a choice :(
That i7 920 4.0GHz overclocked bundle's offer with £44 off discount and price now at £506, it is cheaper than buying the parts separately and the 4.0GHz pre-overclock comes free! (i7 920 £180+Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R £157+Patriot Viper 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel £140+Titan Cooler £30+Arctic Silver 5 thermal compound £7=total £514!)

You could always buy a Noctua cooler seperately and sell off the Titan cooler on the bay or MM...
