Under the hot sun.

More likely £550-600. Because
a) Gibbo said numerous times +10% breaks even the currency exchange cost.
b) Transport fees.
c) Since they might sell, time for extra profits.... Assuming on all the chips end up at +£100-200 markup as "5.1ghz binned chips".

Also the £350 1920X, £250 2700 and £280 2700X make more logical choice.
Except to those buying RTX1080Ti to game at 1080p 30fps with Ray Tracing :p

By raging I mean all of the threads and the 20 or so pages worth of posts in the Core 9000 series thread these pricing rumours started. It was the same with 8700K then everyone forgot about it when MSRP was only ~$10 more than the 7700K, if I'm not mistaken both @jigger and @humbug were beating the "boo Intel pricing" drums back then too, what happened? :D
Surely this time you'll be right!

We predicted around £400 for the 8700K and that's what it launched at, we predicted that because Intel's CPU's had been going up £30 or so per every refresh, they have gone down from £380 to £350 now because they are not selling high end CPU at the levels they used to, because competition.

They haven't been selling hardly any HEDT chips sol they are no longer raking it in with them.

These are Intel's hope to make up for the low HEDT sales, they are not going to give them away, the 8700K is already selling at £350 a piece.
