£30 per core is the market price now. That is for a secure CPU on a better platform too...
I mean, you can take a basic Pentium and put Intel at £14 per core: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/inte...ocket-lga1151-processor-retail-cp-64m-in.html
Plus those prices aren't confirmed so people are raging over rumours, which is typical for some on this forum I guess.
Granted, a TR motherboard is more expensive, but total cost is about the same for 50% more cores. Might be different platform but it is the same marketplace. This is Intel, the TR is a totally different platform, entry cost is higher for TR.
As I say I expect it to be £550+
Raging... interesting use of the word. I'm not seeing rage, just reaction to expensive broken CPU's.
By raging I mean all of the threads and the 20 or so pages worth of posts in the Core 9000 series thread these pricing rumours started. It was the same with 8700K then everyone forgot about it when MSRP was only ~$10 more than the 7700K, if I'm not mistaken both @jigger and @humbug were beating the "boo Intel pricing" drums back then too, what happened?
Surely this time you'll be right!
