Slightly off topic but with my old board is there anyway of getting the rgb to work even though the chipset is dead as I was going to mount the old mobo on the wall and thought it would look better lit up.

last colour was rainbow waves and had it on a psu before I sent it for repair and nothing. Was hoping there would be a simpleish bypass that would power up only the rgb.
any colour is ok as long as I can get the leds to work.

So on trying to sell my unused water cooling parts elsewhere I had a young lad mug me off for the best part of a day pretending he wanted to buy some bits, but it turned out he just wanted info instead of using google like everyone else. I sent him links and gave advice for about 8 hours only for the little melt to then say he wasn’t interested anymore.

So build not going to plan.
Opened case box to find it’s been stripped of the fans, commander pro motherboard cpu backplate cover and the box of case parts (screws etc)

Took everything to start building but hadn’t checked the case as it was sealed and the description said that it was box damage not that half the parts were missing.
We still managed to sort the loop but had to take it all apart again so I can return the case.
Word for wise Amazon are complete aresholes and are refusing to exchange, replace the parts or cover the difference of a new case as it was discounted.
It was sold from their warehouse the thing is it just proves they don’t check the box contents on returned items as someone has stolen all the bits they wanted and returned the case.
according to them I don’t.
right to return is not the problem. It’s them refusing to exchange for the same price, replace the missing parts or credit my account with the difference so I can purchase the case without being out of pocket.
They have a store in bluewater so may make a scene.
They’re saying because it’s from their warehouse department (didn’t know this when buying as it was on the app and didn’t tell
me) that their process is different.
I literally want a like for like replacement.
I even told them to chase up the customer who returned it as it’s obvious that they stole the parts.
Amazon are so rich they don’t care if they get ripped off and they equally don’t care ripping off the customer by not checking their returns and selling an item that was returned previously without sharing the information instead labelling it as damaged outer box only.

So with the expert and talented help of liam this was some of the loop installed.
Had to change the res on the pump to a smaller one as it wouldn’t fit in the case.

As for Amazon they are a bunch of pricks and I advise anyone to buy items and return a brick for a refund as it’s obvious they don’t check the contents of previous returns.
I’ve also decided to buy all the extra EK fittings as I was only using the compression fittings and making use of a mix of other brands for 90’s etc.
This means that the tubing that Liam had done will have to be done again. But I’ll bribe him with sweets like the child catcher.
