Icy Dock MB-455SPF or MB-454SPF ?

Are there any heat problems in either of them, especially the 5 bay one?
They both come with a fan, which you can choose to mount or not (screenshots MB-454SPF, MB-455SPF). Heating shouldn't be a problem as long as you have good airflow in the case, particularly with the fan on.

What about problems with stacking the drives vertically?
Hard drives can be stacked horizontally or vertically. As long as they are at those angles they are fine.

I just don't know whether it is worth it to have one extra bay.
They use the same amount of space (3x 5.25" bays), so it really depends on what you need or what you want :)

I don't have personal experience with any of these, however.

That's good, I didn't know about the vertical stacking thing.
Whichever one I end up getting will be situated in the top three 5.25 bays in my akasa eclipse.
At the moment I've got one 150Gig raptor and 2 320Gig seagates, though I will most likely be buying another drive when I decide to go vista.
I suppose it'll be nice to have 1 extra space free, just in case I need more storage space in the future.

Yes, I plan to remove them. It's more for convenience, when I have to transport my desktop. So this way they are much easier to remove.
