Behind you... Naked!
Ok, normally, Im to be using XP64 on this PC.

Not liking the board too much, so, I have set it aside and I am doing a few tests with it.

I am at present, multi-booting it and I am using 4 versions of Windows... XP, XP64, Vista32, and Vista64.

Now, I have noticed that there is some unknown device on the board, and this unknown device is present in all 4 versions of Windows???

I have gone through all the devices ( by hand ) and I cannot see a device that stands out... So, all 4 versions of windows does not know what this device is.

Even everest comes up with nothing.

Does anyone else have this? - I mean, maybe one version of windows might find it or even the CD that came with it will show something up, but no?

I have no extra cards in it either?

Confused?

Anyone know a good way of getting to the bottom of such an issue?

I have the original CD, I have downloaded everythgin I can but I just cannot get this sorted?

uGuru.
latest version is 3.107 if you do decide to install the Windows GUI (you can of course set uGuru up in the BIOS) - don't use the version on the CD as it will overvolt your RAM.

Oh right... I didnt think that would need a driver, but there we are?

Anyway I downloaded it, extracted the full business and run SETUP.EXE on XP32 and I saw that it installed the driver before installing the program, so I had a look in XP64 too, and this time, I just updated the drivers rather than install the rest of it and sure enough, the driver was there.

Not bothered to try for Vista just yet - the 2 XP jobs got me the answers I needed and I dont have time right now... Got to take the kids to school in a few..

Ok, many thanks mate.

So it seems?

Never had a Mobo quite like this one I will be honest.

Im still out to lunch on whether I like it or not?

Just installed mine to replace my ab9 pro which i fryed (needed my raid 0 back so went for the quad gt)it had the first release bios on and what a pile of carp when i enabled raid it wouldnt boot for no man and the ram had to be set at 533 :( anyway after 2 hrs fannying around (had no access to a floppy drive and random non starting) i managed to get windows setup on a spare harddrive just so i could flash the bios to latest then plug my raid drives back in and now everything is working fine worth the 74 quid i paid for it anyway :)
seems a good board to me dunno about the magic flashing lights on the back of the motherboard though almost had a heart atatck when it lit up like a christmas tree hehe.
will give it some hammer tomoro to see if its a better clocker than the ab9 pro.

Not done much clocking on mine. Taken the E2180 to 250 and then 266FSB with no issues and thats all I tried. I have not really had the chance to do much more than just that.

I got it in october and this is the second replacement.

The lights is a great touch... Tossed about with that for 10minutes before setting them to off.

you can always set them to always off & yes, it's a better overclocker than the AB9 Pro.
