i lied

i cannot get windows to load onto the hard drive via the caddy :mad:

when i put a drive in with windows installed it works but when you reboot it the drive disapears from Bios :confused:

, i have to take it out and reinsert for it to be found again :eek:

i don't have the IDE ribbon cable for this Advent so am a bit knackered

for some reason i turned the laptop on this morning and its working fine

why do you not sell the SSD and get a large IDE drive?

the only reason i got one is because the IDE ribbon connector for the Advent 7090 is as scarse as rocking horse doo doo

I am doing this as my ssd is the early intel x25 so it is not that fast plus I will probably get less than a new ide drive would cost. It is a bigger capacity than the drive in it at the moment as well.
