Idea for 6 year old girl gift

The kids love it!

No need to be defensive, I was only asking.

My three-year-old uses my iPad fine. It's like anything with nippers: they have to be shown the parameters otherwise they trash whatever they are playing with. My daughter loves the tablet when she uses it and is pretty competent at the basics of navigation. She is excitable and reckless at times (like any toddler) but we are always with her when she is on it and that's how she knows how to respect it, how to use it properly and how not to break it.

Some of the apps are excellent.

Out fo interest, how much did you send on it?

Paid £250 for one, we got a 64gb wifi 3g with case, and keyboard from ebay. The plan was to just have one so we thought get the best one and we can all use it.

Had the first one for about a week and thought it was so useful over firing up a laptop etc that we brought another!

With the benefit of hindsight, i would have got my daughter a lower spec model and saved another £50-£75 but really the amount of use both the pads have had has definatley made them worth the money.

That may be so, but there's no way I'd trust a 4 1/2 year old child with a £200+ bit of fairly fragile technology.

You would be suprised just how responsible little ones can be with technology, as a poster above has said once shown how to be with things kids are fine. Also her granddad has had an ipad for a couple of years now and she has been using that, and iphones, ipod touch etc for quite a while and shes fine with all.

Went for the blingles bling studio and accessory pack. Covers the creativity and sharing tick boxes. The Lego Friends set seemed over priced for what it is.
