Hi,

As per thread title. Currently (was) using a Z370-i but it died on me this morning out of the blue after overclocking (only a light 5GHz 1.27v), and ocuk don't have any replacements in stock so need something fast.

I've been looking at Z390 as well but there's some requirements I have.

a) it needs 2xM.2 slots
b) It cannot have a gigantic I/O shield (I use a top down cooler and these make it incompatible).

I've seen that the Asrock Z390 fits the bill and they seem to be highly regarded, whereas Asus, Gigabyte, MSI... all seem to have some sort of issues. I'm in the ASUS issue camp now.

Opinions?

The Z390 Gene gets really good write ups but i'm not sure about the IO shield, its seems massive but that might be as the board is small
