So you're playing a RTX-enabled game. If you enable RTX, what can you disable because it's been obviated by RTX? What can you disable without affecting image quality?

The problem is anything you disable/set to medium will probably have a more noticeable impact on visual quality than turning RTX off will.

Not true, back before the BF5 performance patch people were turning on RTX on the 2070/2080 and dropping other settings to get desirable FPS because it still looked better than max settings but RTX off (this was something many of us pointed out to the "lulz 30FPS at 1080" haters at the time).

Depends on what the RTX is used for. It may allow the game to completely disable the global illumination, shadowing, screen space reflections, ambient occlusion. At this point the hit on performance will be much less.
