Si. I have watched the first two episodes, but it seems fairly weak at points and he has Gill Grissom, Horatio Caine syndrome, in that he knows who did it at the beginning.

But dear sir, surely The Mentalist is a cross between Psych and Medium. It has no common points with neither House nor Dexter at all.

I think he just means style or money thrown at it.

I've only seen a couple of random Dexter and one episode of House. I think I'm just going to wait till they're on boxset.

The only series recently I've watched consistently has been SG-1 (yes, I know - geek!) and the first two seasons of Heroes.

If you are wrong... i might come hunt you down. Dexter and House are my two favourite programs, The mentalist didnt look too good from what i saw...

I have watched the first two episodes and I'm not impressed, as someone has mentioned already he knows who has done it. The only thing that has peaked my interest (only slightly) is his history with the cereal killer.

unfortunately It was spoiled for me a little bit, and all I can say is what a load of tripe.. Maybe he can be Obamas **** for a few years coming. Still have not seen it, but I know Who if, not what happens

Bit of a long-shot actually, but did anyone see that weird short-series a year or two ago set in a haunted hospital or something? Think it was shown on BBC2. Only caught the very ending of it after a film and it was just so... surreal.

The wire is excellent if you find introspection and drama interesting, and not just action. IMO Second season was at its best

Sounds like it could be Stephen Kings 'Kingdom Hospital'

I've caught like a couple of the new episodes of CSI recently and quite enjoyed them but I get the impression I'm missing out as I don't know the characters, etc.

The Wire worth a shout then? I mean, I'll probably get it on boxset in the future if it is as I'd prefer to watch things in bulk rather than waiting between episodes or seasons!
