Hi guys, bit of a *yawn* thread but..

Got a 360 off ebay the other night (also ordered a 26" Samsung LCD - woot) but can only afford one game..

I'm going to get Xbox live eventually to join in with the online shananegians but want something to show off what the Xbox can do in the time being..

I'm usually used to the old fps stuff, so i was thinking of Ghost Recon, but do you think I should go for something different? I've been thinking of getting Kameo or Oblivion, does Oblivion show off the 360 graphically? Another one is Condemned but i'm kinda bored of the dark corridor 'Oh no an evil baddy, shoot him' + repeat games.

What would you buy if you could only get one? :o
 
I would say GRAW or Oblivion. Both are supurb and show what the 360 is capable of. Graphically, they are both top notch. Some of the views in Oblivion are so good they make me stop and admire for a few seconds.

Condemned is also very good, but not quite as good as the first two. Kameo is much under-rated imho, but not the sort of game I would get if I was only getting one.
 
At the moment theres quite a few games that i quite like, in fact the past month has seen my collection rise from 2 games to now having about 6 games.

For me its hard to say as people like different things ie i like the racing games like PGR3 or need for speed most wanted. I also like the sports games like Fight Night 3 and Madden NFL ...i also have top spin2 but tbh im thinking of getting rid of that as i cant seem to get anywhere with it.

Best thing i would do if i was in your position is get on xbox live and d/l some free demos of the games already out there. This is what im doing and i have a few games that i shall be getting once they are released.

But at a push i would say PGR3 seems to be the most popular first game for the xbox360...even though people probably dont play it as much as when it was first out due to the many games coming out in the next few weeks/months.
 
I posted a thread a while ago on how to get 360 games from lxdirect.com on the cheap, like GRAW for £23 etc. I know it sounds dodgy, but it worked for me!

Would you say that PGR3 is the most popular on Live? I prefer to play multiplayer stuff really, i'm probably gonna end up going for GRAW and possibly find Kameo cheap.

Can't wait for Gears of War and Huxley to come out, they just look like perfect games :D (for me).

Took about 2weeks for my GRAW to come.

My personal preference for a single game would be PGR3, GRAW or Oblivion.. but if you want to play online then Oblivion isn't much use :)
 
If you can only afford 1 game i would get Oblivion as it lasts as long as 20 x10 hour games(im only 70hrs in so far) :D and looks great.

GRAW would be next choice, the online features should provide some longevity as well.

no, the most popular game on Live is still HALO 2, thats gotta say something about anearly 2 year old game on the xbox still no1 on Live.

Best game on 360 for looks and pure rush is Burnout Revenge, still unbeaten by any other game
