damn.... i use this all the time...

i like having all my news headlines come up on one page.

bbc world, home and sports news. FT. work related news and stock ticker, plus dictionary.com link to check certain spellings. so useful!

what can i use that does all this instead of igoogle?

:confused::(

Same here - especially when my work allows only IE and using iGoogle is the most universal fit for my search/home page needs... What are my alternative now?
That's my issue as well, everything fits into one page and as we're only able to use IE at work, it's ideal. Not sure that Google Reader will be a suitable alternative.

It's not really a direct alternative but it's IMO the only viable one at present. If you have an Android phone though then get gReader which is free, the paid version has a nice scrollable widget too but the free version itself supports rich content and various other cool features making the pain less intense at the pre-loss of iGoogle.

I was never interested in Feed based apps until now and having tried this, it's rather smart!

Never got on with it. It clutered up the Google page INHO. I have used Reader for a long time now...

As for only being able to use IE at work. *shudders* Thankfully I don't have to put up with that.

It only clutters up your homepage if you lack any organisational skills :p

Been trying out Netvibes, looks and feels like iGoogle... pretty cool. The one click sign in as long as I am on FB is also useful.

Google have now removed the iGoogle link on the classic homepage that donned the lower left corner of the window. They don't waste their time!

You can still get to iG though by tickling the link: http://www.google.co.uk/ig

I'll miss this:

Although I'm growing quite fond of realtime updates and phone sync with this!

Apptabs makes all the difference too :p

I often don't look at it in detail but it's nice to have a glimpse and see the top stories, how long we've got the sun for and what the moon's up to.

My.msn.com gives you the same functionality as igoogle including multiple pages etc. I swap between them as you can export you pages/feeds and then import into the other as XML.
