Hi all...finally had the tints done and new intercooler today so the car is pretty much finished - maybe a chin spoiler and roof spoiler but that's it.

I'm pretty pleased with the finished product now - 320bhp/310lb-ft, might remap it later as should be another 10-20 bhp there..

...and no carbon fibre in sight !

Offroad ?! Are you mad ? It might get all muddy !!

The most offroading it's gonna do is up the kerb onto my driveway :D

Are you even going to take it along the beach :(

They thrive at the beach. The are light and wont sink easy and 4x4.
The also have the sporty image :D

Buy another set of wheels and put off road tires on them and take it for some off roading fun :D

Name me another new 5 seater with big boot that can do 0-60 in under 6 secs for 22k.

Most cars have 5 seats and theres a fair amount of estates that will do it in 6 seconds for less than 22grand
got 4 kids to kill then?

If u cant see my saracasm u might tell i hate 4x4 owners who dont 4x4.

As vanpeebles just said, it's not really a large 4x4, it's an estate car with high supension, that happens to be 4wd.

Basically an Impreza wagon on stilts.

As said it's not a 4x4 - it's AWD - same as the Impreza, as is an Evo etc.
There are loads of advantages to this on normal roads including traction off the line, handling etc etc.

Whilst the Forester has it's roots as a farmers vehicle and is therefore capable of crossing a muddy field, it's not a vehicle to go serious off roading in.

If anything with it's increased wheel clearance it's more of an SUV - are you objecting to these as well ?

Mines not even an SUV now - with the suspension / wheel and tyre changes it's more akin to an estate which is what I wanted. More space and practicality than an Impreza wagon and plenty of fun for me when the kids aren't in the car which is 90% of the time..

And I still challenge you to name a new sub 6 seconds car with the same boot space for 22k.. :)
