I'm going cruzzzzzzzzzzin tonight

:( I want to go to a proper organised cruise. None of this Corsa lark.

Ah well, at least I can be thankful it didn't turn out like something from StrathyCruise (a mate lives in Scotland - raves on about that).

What a bunch of idiots!

was great fun, some crazy cars and some plain nutters!

everyone parked up around the outer edge, that 'strip' on way to entrance and the big space in the car park for people to handbrake turn n stuff.

still remember that bloke in a black saph cossie with an excellent sound system, playing nursey rhymes!

Now, i'm CERTAIN the two people you describe have been on TV. It was on Channel 4 at about 11 in the morning during the week (hooray for being a lazy student!). May have been a repeat, never know. The guy had a Civic like you describe but, iirc, the blonde girl was his cousin? I remember the family business being a non-national furniture store of some kind?

Aye, I remember that. They were the children of the family that owned "New England", a mill in between littleborough and walsden (if you knw the area).

Say what you like about the "Corsa Crew" but round my way the regular cruisers seem to be fairly harmless, they just seem to use it as a chance to get together with mates, have a chat, check out each others cars etc. The only nuiscence being from a couple of girls that seem to drive up and down constantly blasting their horns. Thats my perception of it from an outsiders view anyway.

The worst ones i've seen have been on 3 seperate occasions- an american classic and hotrod meet, a scooby meet and a Jap meet. Biggest load of incompetent, ignorant **** wits I have ever seen on the roads. They had absolutly no consideration for other road users or their safety / the safety of the pedestrians. This was all on Great Yarmouth seafront in the middle of summer

Don't get me wrong on the american meet the classic car owners were great, encouraged you to look at / in the cars, it was the 'hotrodders' that were the boobs. When they started acting up all the classic car owners understandably made a quick exit :(

Correct :)

Rude2cruz was shut down though and the new crew... Back To The Old Skool was started up.

Basically, what I heard happened was loads of idiots went to the R2C meets and caused loads of trouble which meant the owner had to close it down to save his reputation I think.

He then started BTTOS in the hope that it would be a clean slate. Well, that's what I heard anyway. I met the site owner tonight and he seemed like a nice guy, not a chav at all.

Something I want to know is, why the hell do they sit there with the engines running? I must have walked past 10 cars with the cooling fans on. Idiots!
Ahh this will be something you are not used to, it can only be done by people with cars other than Rovers, others wise it would be "Lets see who headgasket blows first" :p

At least say "it can only be done by people with cars other than Rovers with a K series engine". That way you're actually accurate! :)

HGF is not common on T series Rover engines.

:)

Even so, I wouldn't feel comfortable with sitting there for hours on end with the engine running.

Maybe owning a K has made me too cautious, but better to be safe than sorry IMO. :)

battery drain when using ICE without engine running.

some of them probably have some amps etc so best to stay running.
