It's an interesting video and an interesting idea. I was disappointed at the beginning until I realised that it's not a real alternative, in contrast to scaling or cropping you're accepting that you're sometimes radically changing the original image.
And though the woman and baby look a bit like manga characters post editing it's the only comment I have. Obviously it's youtube so it's not possible to see the image quality in the newly created areas.
I'm wondering, for example in the lakeside photo, if you're extending the image and it's taking the average values on both sides then surely the centre will eventually become white, right?
