Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

It’s the lamp itself, we have these https://a.aliexpress.com/_mMS2Czb

Damn was hoping it was bulbs.

My bedside lamps are actually attached to the wall. It's a feature of the room. Pointless me having wall lamps and then table lamps.

Hopefully they bring out bulbs or I might get these for one of the spare rooms.

Cheers for the link I'll add them to my cart for future reference.

Curious how you found out about these is there an official website you use or blog which tells you about compatible products? I find stuff off AliExpress by accident usually.

What is good about them? I know they're cheap but comparing against the Huawei, Fitbit models what does this provide they don't? I want something for the wife but don't mind spending a bit more to get a quality product.

They seem to be similar to the Fitbit/Garmin offerings at around a third of the price. However i found the app was a bit disappointing by comparison. Doesn't really change the functionality of the watch though.

I'd always prefer something with a proper screen, like the Garmin Vivoactive 4 or Venu, but i can see the appeal of these.

SRAM NX Eagle groupset & Nukeproof Horizon bottom bracket.

Drivetrain upgrade to the MTB. Currently on a 2x8 which has great range but I don't like having a front mech and it's an Altus setup and whilst it shifts slick and runs well, there's no clutch for the rear mech so there's lots of chain slap even on jumps off a pavement and I much prefer the cleaner look of a 1by setup and quicker firing up or down gears with just the one mech  The range difference isn't too huge either from what I had most especially in the climbing gear.

Nice, I had the etap stuff on my old EBike with dropper post. Was pretty cool, until I crashed and broke it

I was looking at this same groupset as its discounted on wiggle etc but the £60 bottom bracket put me off, want to upgrade my DIY 1x 10 speed Shimano setup, I guess NX is the cheapest way of doing it even with the bottom bracket as I don't need to replace the hub on the rear wheel with NX unlike GX?

Was it at least a cool crash though

You can always get a cheaper bottom bracket but I figured it's worth getting a quality part in this area as it's a key component.

Correct about the rear freehub, only the NX uses the freehub fitment whereas the rest of the range is the XD hub setup. Aside from that though the entire Eagle range of components are cross compatible, so you can get NX now (I made use of the Black Friday sale at Chain Reaction Cycles so this groupset cost £230 + the £50 for the BB), then upgrade anything GX/SX/XX etc as you see fit. For me I will likely upgrade to the X01 chain as it's smoother/quieter (looks cooler too) and built for wear but it is +£50 so I will just wait until the NX chain has worn out. The rest though is perfect for my amateur uses.

You might have twisted my arm, a new groupset is easy to sneak past the missus as opposed to a whole new bike... ;) she rides an emtb while I struggle on my battered old bossnut so hoping the extra gears mean its a little less painful chasing her up hills!

That was my desktop BG for years :D *

I do believe the groupset is still on offer until tomorrow at CRC! Just be aware that I bought the last one with the 170mm long crank, the 175mm is still available though. Whether the 4mm makes a diff to your leg length or not is hotly debated online :p

@mrk you can get chain retainers/tensioners if you're having issues with chainslap.

Let's be real though, a retainer is no way near as cool as a whole new drivetrain upgrade though especially with over 30% off!

@mrk fair point, well made. I concede :D

Enjoy it, shame you're not up this way as there are some absolutely outstanding trails and centres.

You lot talk funny up that way though, best be avoided at all costs.

:D

Jokes aside yeah there are so many nice trails and bike parks. Down here there's Rogate Park as the biggest multi trail managed bike park, whilst a more open public trail is the Meon Valley Trail which I plan on riding once the weather is a bit better to properly enjoy it.

Fancied a doorbell for a while and after quite a bit of watching comparison videos I realised that Ring are absolute trash and went for this on Black Friday while it was £55 off, then decided I might as well have my cameras all in the same app so replaced a Blink Mini with the 2K. Impressed with both so far.

Get over to Queen Elizabeth Country Park.

You can actually cycle along the Meon Valley Trail, hop across to the South Downs Way and go all the way to QECP. It’s about a 4-hour round trip from my house, plus time spent on the trails at QECP. :)

A whole day of just riding along those awesome areas! Meon Valley alone is pretty huge lol. Cannot wait
