Images of items I have purchased (except trainers [no feet pics])

It doesn't look like that during the day :D Believe me! That's the evening look when the kids are in bed and I've tidied up to relax. It looks like a nursery during the day

Ball pits and tents are up in front of it during the day, so she literally cannot get to anything. The only reason she nearly spilled her juice on it was she keeps shaking her cup about and it flies everywhere :D

I have no doubt that it's chaos! I'm just thinking of all the hard edges. Sounds like you've now got it covered anyway.

We never did anything for hard edges. Most we did was baby stair gate. Probably explains my kids now, mind... :D I jest, I'm sure they're fine...

Haha! To be fair, I'm just an observer watching someone else's (sister-in-law's) children grow up. They are more cautious than I think is appropriate. The children have to hurt themselves to learn how not to hurt themselves IMO. But, I'm also not a parent so my opinion really isn't very important. That being said, one of the children runs around constantly and if he were to trip and hit the edging around the fireplace, he'd probably die. I'm sure there's a fine line.

Bought a WiFI enabled/smart dehumidifier (I think it's one of the few on the market) to keep my gym kit from getting condensation on it. It also has the benefit of providing a bit of warmth into the log cabin. It does have a dedicated heater mode with a thermostat I will use when it gets too cold.

Target temperature isn't applicable unless it's in heater mode.

I have the same one except without smart (d'oh :(). Works great. I sit washing infront of it and it dries overnight.

Hard edges are good - it teaches them to look where they are going and not to fall over :)

We never kid proofed out house beyond making sure things like bleach etc was put away and we still have three children (that's the advantage of having a few kids anyway, you can make mistakes as your got spares).

How loud is it? We've got an old dehumidifier in our spare room to dry out the washing but it's so loud, you can hear it from every other part of the house, even with all the doors closed so I'm thinking about a replacement.

It has a sleep mode that is essentially white noise. Before I got my process nailed it was on 24/7 with no problems.

My process now is to try and get two full washes started and on the horse by 1800/1900 and then stick it on from 1900 till 0730 the next day. The entire two loads are dry and then it goes off until the next "washing day".

I think dLockers will provide better insight. Only got mine today and it’s in the log cabin. I guess if you turn it to max its gonna to be loud.

Thanks, both, sounds like it could be a contender then.

If we tried dLockers' process with the current unit, no one would get any sleep! :o

I don't think my parents did either, and look how I turned out...one to inherit, one to the clergy, one to the farm

This isn't filling me with hope, I have a Besta being delivered next week!

Make sure to measure the back of it, corner to corner, when building. If the measurements hold up then it should be square and your main worry after that will be aligning the doors.

if it's not built square then nothing you do will ever make it look right.

It's great! My poor 2080 has been really put to work though so I've had to lower a fair few settings to keep games around 60fps but I'm happy to wait for new cards at this rate (and my partner will kil me if I spend more PC money any time soon!)

Which one is that? 34in?

It was the 38" one. Somewhat of an impulse buy as I had my heart on waiting for the 42" OLED that was rumoured but talked myself into going ultra wide instead.

Aha, funnily enough when i got my 2080 I ordered it without saying a word and installed in on the sneaky.

Nice I have a 35.
If I'm honest I think I'd rather a taller monitor.
But tvs are too big

A 35-38 16:10 would be perfect

I once worked for one of the big UK supermarkets on the checkouts. One evening we had no cleaners in and I was asked to sort out a problem in the gents toilet. They handed me an actual kitchen knife. Had to literally cut some dudes turd up into pieces because it was so massive it poked entirely out the water. True story.

Did you ever eat anything produced in that kitchen again? :D
