Flies like an absolute dream. <3[/QUOTE]

You win the thread, that looks like a lot of fun! Out of interest, how much would it cost to get fully kitted out?

Interesting kit. Would it be fairly straighforward to do for someone with limited electronics/soldering abilities?
Also, what does the 'E3' refer to? i thought it was just a model from fiio originally.

The E3 headphone amplifier is a clone of the Beyerdynamic A1 headphone amp.

The kit cost less than £20 and assembled unit is about a £5 - £10 more depending on where you get it.

If your not confident that you can do it an assembled unit is the way to go and kits always has missing parts mine did not came with the filter caps.

Not going to show off your soldering skills? :D

Best I could do.

I'm still training but costs to get started are not too bad. Once you're kitted out all you're paying is petrol and club membership (£50-60 a year or so). Costs from my (limited) experience:

£1075 - Tuition fees (EP/CP)
£1500-2500 - Second hand intermediate Glider
£400-500 - Starter harness - mine was cheaper second hand.
£100 - Helmet
£200 - Flight Suit, second hand considerably cheaper
£117 - First time BHPA Membership (reduces on renewal)
+ a few hundred for accessories, instruments etc.

Also need to buy a parachute once training is done which is another 500 odd quid.

I'll be buying more plush kit as I get more experienced. So far it's cost me about 4K but it can be done for less if you're lucky in the second hand market.

I'm learning with these guys who are awesome.
