Just googled these -most impressed - looks miles better than the one I got from Lidl the other week for £5 :D

Yes, I had a cheapy one from Chine for a tenner, i bent a couple of bits and the magnet fell out of the driver making it useless :D

I have the same kit - it's my go to kit for most things now, great at the price.

Agree, for £30 it feels very solid and i have no doubts it will last

If only there was some sort of device that might help that. That perhaps a company we may have encountered sells. If only it did other things as well.

There was no erase on typewriters though was there so you had to start again if you made a mistake?

Nope, no erase, it is very unforgiving if you make a mistake. I never knew (this is one from the sixties) you set margins so it stops typing - very clever (I though it was broken :o)
