A DVD title on a standalone player vs Netflix quality is hardly night and day anymore, I'd agree that with Blu-Ray there is still a lot of difference due to the bitrate each platform can deliver.

The quote says DVDs but he's referring to 4k BDs.

There is a massive difference.

It’s not just a DVD though. It’s a UHD disc. There is a big difference between that Netflix 4K.

@ChrisD. you quoted him about the DVD's, I'm simply saying there is not a night and day difference anymore with DVD's on a standalone vs Netflix.

I completely agree about Bluray/UHD still being superior on a physical disk.

I know, the confusion is because the OP was referring to an image of a 4k BD and not DVD.

I didn't say capitalist;)
Tyranids are definitely the ultimate consumers ;) (I hate painting hordes, but somehow have Skaven and Nids in addition to my Tau and Daemons).

Tyranids are definitely capitalist. Consume consume consume! Leave nothing but desolation behind.
I'm getting tempted by am IG army. Mostly cos tanks. Vehicle rules have changed massively though and I'm not sure of the impact the changes have had. Anyhow, think I'll take this to the right thread.

Nerrrrrrd 2 out.

Today my new home desktop arrived to replace my 2013 machine.
It's a HP Envy Curved 34 All-in-One with a pretty decent spec:
  • 34" Super wide curved IPS display : 3440x1440
  • Intel i7-8700T (2.4Ghz, 6 Cores)
  • 16GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GTX 1050
  • 512 SSD Drive
  • 2TB Hard Drive
  • Built in wireless phone charging

It will mostly be used for photo and video editing and maybe some light gaming.
