I had to post I mean £25 for this that's amazing plus I wanted to check that the price was all so £25 in here and not an error.

I wonder how much the ink will cost when its run out? but still at this price that's good.

I've just "retired" a similar HP multifunction printer at work as it does eat through cartridges - no more than other makes, but it's not economical for business/heavy workloads.

That said, it was a great quality printer (and a fantastic scanner) for the price (£40), reliable and easy to set up - ideal for light/home use. Just make sure you buy the XL cartridges, which cost 50%-70% more but are 2-3 times the capacity.

I've got this printer, its perfectly adequate, if like me you only print out stuff very occasionally...like say..OCUK receipts..:p, its not the quietest printer either, it has that tinny, hollow sound all cheaply made stuff has these days when in use.

The scanner is OK,but not brilliant, considering i didn't even know it had one when i bought it..:D, so it was a nice bonus.

Obviously though if your a heavy printer user, look elsewhere...

Why anyone buys branded cartridges is beyond me.

Agreed. I've always bought the cheap imitations and have converted several other people to doing so, and it makes no difference to performance, just slashes the price. The only reason I can think of to buy official cartridges is if you're doing really high end photo printing and using the proper 8 ink systems.

Include an additional black toner!

I was half thinking this was some kind of hybrid ink/laser when you said that.

Just bought this from a competitor last week, excellent value, nicely packaged and with that free black cartridge bit of a no brainer.:)

Cartridges bundled with printers are partially filled anyway.

I'm happy to have jumped off the low price inkjet printer/high price refill ship.

3000 page compatible toners for the £100 mono laser all-in-one I replaced with are £14.

Which is useful since certain family members currently seem to be printing every exam paper on the internet

Just ordered one for my parents, whose printer has just gone t**s up.
The scanner/photocopier functions of an all-in-one will also be useful for them :)

Just ordered for a family member - their little one just destroyed their printer a few days ago!

Dont know if its partially filled or not but when you open the box there are three sealed HP cartridges, 2XHp 301 black and 1X colour. So its an extra cartridge whether full or not.:D
