I was using my snap on at the weekend on 19mm nuts and it rounded the nut or it rung the thread but that depends on the quality of socket/nut/bolt threads etc.
I normally stop when I hear a few impacts.
I notice the expensive sockets come with snap rings and safety pins. I take the safety pins stop the sockets coming off like Fuzz mentioned?
