Import *.ctt Contacts file into Adium?

I've moved my main email address from Hotmail to Google for the free IMAP connection they provide, but the final stage has stumped me.

Adium has no Import/Export functionality, and I can't figure out how to import my MSN contacts into a Google Talk account.

Using Messenger for Mac I've exported my contacts as a *.ctt file (just seems to be an XML file), but I can't use Messenger for Mac to log in to a Google Talk account, Adium can do it but can't use the contacts file and Pidgin doesn't have a stable version I don't have to compile myself; bit stuck?

Any ideas?

This is only an idea, I don't use Google Talk so I'm not certain it would work.

But will the .CTT import into Address Book?

If it will, you should be able to then sync Address Book with Google?

Might be barking up completely the wrong tree but give it a punt. Don't know if address book will even take a .ctt though. It will take a CSV though if messenger for Mac can output one of them?

1. Export from hotmail to a .csv file.
2. Go to Google mail (web) and login
3. Click 'Contacts' on the left side
4. Click Import in the top right.
5. Choose the .csv file and import them.
6. That should be done, if they don't appear then try this sub set of things...

a. On the left expand the chat box.
b. Click "Add Contact"
c. Click 'Select All'
d. Click 'invite'
e. That should invite all those selected people to use Google Talk.

Remember that many people don't use Google Talk and especially in the UK most use MSN Messenger.

I figured a slightly simpler way round it, since Google Talk doesn't seem to support adding MSN contacts;

I signed up my Googlemail account for an MSN Passport and used Messenger for Mac import/export to bounce the contacts from one account to another.

Now Adium can log into MSN using my Googlemail account with all my contacts from my previous Hotmail account :)
