Hi guys,

Decided to wash and wax my car today. First time in aaaaages I've washed it myself and waxed it too.

However, waxing it has shown me how poor the paintwork is. Lots of stone chips to the front half half of the bonnet, swirl marks nearly everywhere etc.

I was wondering if you guys could recommend any products that might improve the look of the paint work, especially the swirl marks, and is there anyway to try and make the stone chips from motorway driving not look so bad?

Thanks,

Mal

unless you have a porter cable or know someone with a rotary hard to get rid of swirlmarks only way is with a lot of elbow grease and megs scratch X

or fill the swirls with some autoglym srp which will help hide them abit

if you lived anywhere near shrewsbury could help you out for a day useing my pc stone chips i dont like doing unless on my own car wetsanding can be a pain

What ever you do (by hand or machine) make sure you slap a decent long lasting wax on to protect all that hard work, personally i use Collinite waxes, which lasts a good few months, but you can use stuff like victoria, zaino, harly, poorboys too which are very very good.

Problem is you cant buy any of these on the high street, only places are online.
