I've been using a pair of Sony EX-71's for the past few years (well I've been through 2 pairs), and they sound great for the money, but everytime I go jogging I'm constantly pushing them back in my ear. I think a lot of the problem is the cable jiggling around and pulling on the buds, despite the cable being quite short (only about 30cm from the left one to my iPod which is on an arm band).

And yes i've tried the different rubber bud sizes. The medium ones fit nicely when not moving much and the large ones are too big.

So any suggestions for some that stay in? Upto around £100 :)

I've found if you use a little bit of medical tape to stick the cable from your ipod to either the side or base of your neck to stop the cable from being pulled out of your ears works quite well. The advantage of using medical type tape is that sweat will not cause it to come away from your skin and you should not be allergic to it (as apposed to using sticky tape or something)

I always wear my earphones with the cable going down my back and never had this problem of the being pulled out.

any shure in-earphones will always stay in when u exercise u can get the e2cs for 60£ bargain but dont know what they sound like as i have the e5c's but they are a brand u can trust and with 2 year warranty u cant go wrong!

You can get the e2cs for £35, got some and they don't fit at all :/

The best way to keep them in is to put your earphones in. then wrap cling film around your head. if your face goes blue you should pop a little hole in the cling film where your gob is. this will help you breath better.

:D

What kind of freaky sized ears do you have!?? :p j/k, but mine fit perfectly, I use at the gym and running all the time. They come with so many different earbuds, surely one of the fits?

E4Cs available for ~ £115 last time I checked. Use them with the black foamies (small version so you can really shove them in) - perfect.

Check out some of Koss's, earbud or sparkplug type. They are cheap, light and com with several earpieces and should do the job. Sound quality for the price is fine too!

Tell me about it :p

None of them fit, closest is the smallest bud but that pops out after a minute or two. My CX300 are fine with the smallest fitting on. Trying to get my money back and get some Mylarones or have them replaced for EX-85s.

Not liking the QC on the Mylars tbh. I find that earbuds are better for the gym, something like Sennheiser MX500's are fine. As for decent low priced iems, Super fi 3's?

ive got some £25ish green sport seinersers, they do the job, and dont come out, little on the quiet side, but that may just be my mp3 player...

I'd go for the already recommended super.fi 3 as the over the ear memory wire is ideal for gym as you can mold it to grip your ears etc.

In fact at that price point you can buy super.fi 5 Pros from ebay, which imo are about the best sounding non custom IEM's you can buy.....I still own mine despite buying e500's.

Havent looked recently saw them when i bought mine 2 years ago and they were 60! thats even better at 35 but u should use the triple flange sleeves they seem weird at first but when u fit them right it sounds awesome....

Not that i jiggle about much... or infact do any exercise :P...

Ive had EX-71's and know what you mean.
I'm using £50 Goldrings at the moment and they come with foam tips i havnt seen before and they stay put ! fantastci isolation too. I can't see them coming out like the EX's do

I just received some Sennheiser PMX70s which fit very well. Come with an optional clip that can go on the wire and clips it to your clothing so you don't get the wire pulling on your earphones as much

I have a pair of those molded ones and while they are excellent for on the bike they would suck for exercise. The helmet helps hold them in/on when on the bike, you would not have this when exercising. I have to use a different pair when out on the mountain bike.
