I haven't used my quest 3 for best part of a year due to crappy visuals. My settings, I realise now, were terrible. Anyway, I dug it out and fiddled with the settings and finally, have a good vr image. It's now rather good and I'm enjoying Iracing.

I've set the quest 3 to 72Hz and 90Hz. Both are quite stable. I can't tell the difference visually. Gameplay seems good enough to me on either.

Does Fps make a big difference to you?

Edit: gpu 3080 ti, cpu 5800x3d.

I'm not sensitive to refresh rate,if there was a native 60Hz option I'd probably use it.

Well, I was happy with 72Hz. It seemed really fine to me. But in this last week my iracing in pcvr has got its knickers in a twist. I can't get any more than 59Hz for some reason. this 59Hz is really poor visually. It's like watching a shuddery, glitchy mess.

This frame drop/limit happened after I experimented with the OpenXR runtime instead of normally using Oculus runtime. Switched back to Oculus then but still got low framerate. Been trying lots of things to bring the framerate up. Still trying.

I really must learn not to fix what ain't broke.
