I've no problem running in the rain with shorts on at the best of times. Problem is that I can't afford to get ill/run down with my upcoming timetable :p


Thanks for the advice on the warm up jog, i'll give it a try in a bit.

Get your body use to it, because you will be doing it a lot in the army.

Absolutely. I'm going to be dedicating most of my free time to this along with cutting down on my alcohol consumption. I just can't afford to take risks at the moment. :)

Then its going to be worse in jeans, the water will stick to you.

I was out running in gales and a downpour last Thursday. Came in had a shower and no signs of any cold as of yet.
 
Small update.

I took your advice and wore a pair of shorts (really nice day today for a change), warmed up by jogging and then ran a lot slower.

What a difference :eek: I'm within the timescale haha.


Still absolutely no improvements on situps or pushups though :(

Man up! :p

You will have the extra adrenaline on the day too, so count in an extra 3-4. Though you shouldn't depend on this.

Just about figured that, had enough years. But are there any tips for doing pressups/situps as it seems its my breathing patterns that are messing me up. Information on the internet contradicts itself. :/
