Slightly OT but I ordered a laptop HDD from OcUK as my laptop had a meeting with the ground (thanks to an idiot lecturer who was rushing us for work not even due in that week! :mad:).

I ordered it at around 11am and it was at home by the next day, well packed too! :D As annoying as it was I managed to recover my important data and to top it off I got a hard drive twice as big as the original :D

Weird!

I have dropped my Laptop (yesterday), the HDD is dead as a dodo and have ordered this:

I order it around 2am last night and I have just received an email saying it has been dispatched...woohoo.

I ordered the same drive but the 640GB variant as it wasn't too much more I thought.

BTW if you're a noob like me and had files on the drive that you haven't backed up I can recommended File Scavenger. Great little app for recovery, really works well :)
 
I also get paid on the last working day, which this month falls on a Monday. Usually when I get paid on Mondays, my wages show over the weekend.
 
Some of the responses from people in here are bizarre at best. I doubt the sort of person who needs to factor payday into when they buy computer hardware is buying £800 CPU's anyway.

Read posts properly please, Mason. There are £800 cpu's in the deals, are there not? So there is some expectation that putting these on a PayDay offer will boost sales, isn't there?

I agree with Fox that it is rather unlikely that anyone buying such a £800 cpu is a person who has to wait for paydays.

Neither I nor Fox were talking about the far less expensive offers,
