Incubus' 5th album is scheduled to be released on the 28th. Light Grenades. Who's gonna get it?

In my opinion i'm expecting the album to be more mature than previous albums, me and naffa discussed it and both agreed it was more or less inevitable judging from pre-released songs they've done recently.

Opinions?

Almost certainly I will. Even though I thought Crow... was their weakest album by some way, and that they seem to be on an inevitable downward slope of slower/maturer/mediocre (delete as according to opinion) songs, I still think they're ace.

Thing is though, they nailed the slow/mature songs perfectly with Morning View and Make Yourself. I'd much rather they tried something different now, or at least go back to their slightly funkier, more interesting roots.

YouTube is a big place, and searching for Incubus provides rather a few results. Any chance of a link?

Oooh, I like the sound of Rogues.

A Crow Left To The Murder was a bit pants to be honest altho still had a good few songs, so if its even slightly better than that then i will be happy. Ive been a fan of Incubus for a good 10 years, but live they could be better. I will still go out and get this album.

You're right benjo. :D

I think A Crow Left Of The Murder was them starting to mature but they hadn't really accepted it and were still trying to sound like they used to. I really liked the album but it wasn't as good as their earlier stuff or by the sounds of it, their new stuff. I think they've finally accepted their maturing as a band and I predict the end result to be brilliant. :)

Can't wait for it now though. :D

Crow Left To The Murder was pretty dull to be honest, very little sign of the trademark Incubus hooks and style that made their earlier albums so appealing.

I saw their new video on MTV2 over the weekend, didn't think much to it to be honest. Will check out the album just to make sure but I very much doubt I'll take to it as I did S.C.I.E.N.C.E

I quite like it. Definitely better than Crow... and it's growing on me. Not too sure about the slower songs, but the more energetic ones (Rogues, Anna Molly, A Kiss To Send Us Off) are all pretty decent. My housemate said he found it largely forgettable and samey, but to be fair, Morning View isn't all that memorable first time round, and that's a fantastic album.

EDIT: And I'm already learning Anna Molly on guitar.

just a heads up that 'anna molly' is available over xbox live for free at the moment as hte featured song available in 720 if you so wish

it seems a pretty good song and if the rest of the album isn't supposably as good as it i doubt i'll enjoy it as much as s.c.i.e.n.c.e either, but still might have to look out for it

These are my favorite so far Dig, Love hurts, Earth to Bella Part 2 and Anna Molly.

Not too sure on some of the other songs though, not really my cup of tea.

I'll be buying it.

Managed to go see them at the Astoria last Tuesday and they did three tracks from the new album. Great songs all three of them (and all the other songs they did)
