Indian TV channel adverts

SERIOUSLY WTF???
I was watching some of Zee TV as I was waiting for dinner and the adverts came on, all they do is take a Bollywood song, change the words to the brand name of the product, and create a new video with the product in!

How retarded!

hehe when i was in india all the adverts were like this, the MAGI HEALTHY SOUPS!! were the ones i remembered the most, some really funny motorbike adverts as well over there

got to love all the films as well

my parents are zombies too!
the shows they watch are such crap, they have such crappy effects!!
They also tend to have poor actors! full of crap, totally.

its expensive too at 13 quid per month!!!!
sky is 15 pounds for a lot more channels!

Mine seem to be addicted to those lame indian soaps which apparently feature indian actors/actresses except they all look like M.Jackson wannabes because they're caked in make up

Theres one show that has the music from Predator, which appears during the tense scenes

lol, yeah, they seem to watch it from 8-9:30 the sounds effects are so damn cheesy and they zoom in and out of peoples faces real quick, 13 quid a month is a joke though, considering 10 minutes of a 30 min show are ads.

edit - they watched this one show where they had a "series finale" at the beggining of this series finale they had a 1 1/2 recap of everything that happened in the series!

May i first point out that it is a eastern television channel, not everything is like the western world.

I find it disturbing that people are mocking such shows, just becuase it is not intended for the western market, does not mean the shows are lame.

None of the shows or adverts are retarded or lame, they are excelent for the market they are targeted for.

Please dont brand it as rubbish, it would be like watching a japanese program and taking the urine at it becuase you cant understand it.

By all means, its funny to watch, but please dont laugh becuase they are not like the western world.

It's rubbish in the same way that Eastenders is rubbish. If I don't like it I will call it rubbish/lame/crap etc... I don't think it sucks just because it's Indian, although it is one of the reasons why.

We're all entitled to our opinion regardless of where the shows/adverts are produced.

no offense dude can you even understand it? its a different culture and all, i can't remember if zee do subtitles, sony is bit better for indian chan but dvds are the way forward

I can understand it and everything,

Don't get me wrong, the adverts aren't Indian companies, they are British companies (i think) e.g Rubican, KTC, Pride, they make lame ass ads.

I haven't a clue what they're saying although I can have a guess at what is going on. Even if the dialogue was Oscar winning, the poor quality audio and visuals would put me off

When I went to BD I saw some seriiously weird adverts, one was advertising TIN roof panels whilst another "rasta raja phonics!" bicycles with basket holders on the back.

Well, having lived in India for 17 years, at least I can say that most of those soaps are pretty stupid. I can't understand why people like them, they're all crap

My grandmother watches them regularly back in India though

That is my personal opinion though, the fact that they are so popular is proof that a lot of people do like them, i just can't understand why

The adverts, some are stupid, but the occasional one is pretty good ^_^
