Hi there recently got an iPhone and want some good buds to compliment this. I'm used to sennheiser 595 and mordaunt short speakers at home so I like my quality stuff. Probably looking at about £80 but will stretch to £100. I don't no much about earphones but have seen some positive reviews in shure. Where do u suggest I start?

I've got a pair of IE8's coming tomorrow hopefully. :D

Read lots of good things about them and they seem to be strong performers in the music genres I like. Apparently they sound great out of the box, but really shine after muchos burn-in time.

really considering them.

Not sure whther there a bit OTT for my use though. There gonna be used 90% of the time on the Iphone with 320kbps AAC encodes.

These cost more then my 595's which i use through a DAC with FLAC music..... hmmm

Dont know if ill get the full benefit of them just using my Iphone.

I heard these are easy to drive though...?

Any opinions on this? I'd be very interested to hear your impressions when you get them along with what your using them with.

thanx

Yeah I'll let you know how it goes.

My main source is either an iphone or ipod classic with a FiiO E1 and largely 320kbps files.

The other phones I own are 595's and HD25's so I'll try to compare them.

FutureSonics Atrio M5/M8/M3s are an option here too. I have a set and they are truely phenominal.

My IE8's arrived today, but I've only had a little play with them.

Initial impressions are wow bass and clarity at the same time! The bass knob is on the lowest setting and I can't imagine wanting to turn it up. When I get more time I'll try to compare them with my other phones.

Great, initial reports have said that there if anything a bit too bass heavy initially but after a burn in period they start to come together a bit more. enjoy!

im so tempted to press the buy button, but if i do its going to shoot me over my overdraft limit and therefore i get charged £20.... hmmm maybe its worth it :D

got some of these in the end.

First impressions wasn't fantastic bass was overblown and muddy. (they wernt terrible just not great). After a few hours playtime (probably edging 50+ now) there completely different. Bass is tight and the top end is starting to sparkle a little bit more although its still a little bit distant. I think after some more playtime these are going to sound awesome. I'll post back impressions on this thread at a later date for anyone interested :)

50 hours! You've listened to yours more than I have. I haven't really had much time to use them properly yet.
