Old gas fire is way overdue to be replaced. Been looking at choices for a replacement. I've seen one that I quite like the Gazco Logic HE (high efficiency) that has the option for remote control and integrated thermostat etc. Thing is I've never heard of (Stovax-Gazco) and reviews are scarce, so unsure about long term ownership and reliability. (Though I found a few that slated their customer service.) Are there a goto manufacturer as far as reliability and back-up?

I'm hoping we have an installer or two in our midst who can speak from experiences with installs.

Stovax/Gazco are well known brand you won't go far wrong with them.
Cheers.
I'll have a word with gas fitter when I've had a look at a couple more and made my mind up on which one I'm going for. I've heard of plenty of boiler manufacturers. Vaillant, Ideal, Worcester, Baxi, Ariston all pretty well known and around for decades. But gas fires not so many spring to mind, just Valor, Flavel and Baxi. (I think even Baxi may have ceased?) Gazco is a new name to me.
