Hi all,

Got a shoot for a friend tomorrow. She got married over a month ago and some friends and owners of the local stately home have asked if they would like some shots doing in their gardens. They said yes.

She was just going to have her dad there with a P&S then decided to ask me.

Its gone from her and the groom to her, the groom, her family and she has even asked my missus to go in her wedding dress so she can have photos with her.

I am bricking it, they just want some nice shots and they understand i've got basic kit and basic knowledge.

Problem is, I need some inspiration. I've not seen the venue yet as its not open to the public :( Anyone any links to some nice B&G outside shots?

Or general tips? I know we have some amazing togs here so any advice will be gratefully received.

Kit:
D60 + 18-55 kit and 50mm prime lens (completely manual)

I've an idea for a couple of shots other than the normal group shots :)

Google maps may give you an idea of the grounds with some potential shooting areas - walled garden, maze, against flowers etc its not ideal but it may give you a start so you're not completely blind when you walk in. also does the stately home have a website or attached to English Heritage or something like that? There may be photos of the place already online. Worth a look at least :)

Thanks for the suggestions, some cracking shots there!

Already done that Derek, doesn't give a lot of detail and it shares some property with other private properties as well so not sure what belongs to what. There is a small garden but I am not sure how up-to-date the google map is, this property was a shell 3-4 years ago.

think flashearth / google maps (top down) are around 3 - 5 yrs old depending on areas being updated of course. another one is bing (stupid msn) maps which have 'birdseye' isometric views which are more recent then of course google street view where you can see folk hanging out their washing which is around a year old now. but it depends on where you live and if they've covered it yet.
