Insurance Advice/Warning to OCUK'ers

DO NOT USE Norwich Union for any insurace purposes.

if you like dealing with people who have very little grasp of English and cant spell or understand the simplest of words then give them a call.

had to call them abut 10 times today to get them to change my name and address which they spelled wrong. after all the calling they emailed the policy(for the tenth time) only for it still to be wrong. therefore i was unable to get my new car today. FUMING

i'll say again DO NOT USE Norwich Union

You get what you pay for. Generally they are pretty competitive on price, and to do this and still turn a decent profit something has to give.

Dayinsure would have cost you about a 10er. (assuming you are 21)

I use them on a daily basis.

Sometimes I do have a little trouble with them, not very often though.....

In the email you will notice it's the same message, however the actual covernote has had the changes amended!

So although it looks like it hasn't changed if you check the actual covernote/certificate you'll notice that all the changes have been made.

yeah they explained that but the details were still wrong when i opened it up as well

I've always found NU to be an insurer of last resort, they will insure almost anything but you normally pay through the nose for it. As for the non UK call centers I've made a point of never going with an insurance co. who think it's good customer service to move operations outside the UK.

Example that proved the point perfectly was Capital One, when I started with them they were UK based, then they moved customer services abroad and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, when I needed to report my card as stolen it took over 4x as long with Capital One as any other issuer hence why I got shot of them the same day.
