After going through some insurance qoutes i noticed it makes a BIG difference if you answer yet to driving another car on a regular basis.

now how do the insurance company know if you are driving another car or not??

well thats what i thought. but surly they cant check other insurance companies details.

so what way do tey have of finding this out?

Drive pool cars daily, but I can guarentee that i'm not named on any policy bar my own.

You are an employee of organisation Y, who have an insurance policy covering, for example, any employee of Organisation Y.

So yes, you are :p

But i'm not "named" in the sense that you can search for records of my insurance on x car.

The policy will just state "employees of X".

So no, "I'm" not.

No, not always. My dads work place has insurance cover for X amount of employees as long as they are 21 or over. No names :)

Is it fronting though?
If you have fully comp insurance that allows you to drive other vehicles, and you have access to vehicles why is that fraudulent?

They don't ask if you have regular use of other cars you hold insurance for do they?

Correct me if i'm wrong but I was always under the impression that the reason for that question is if you answer 'yes' then the ins co won't pay for a hire car if your car is off the road after an accident. As hire cars can be a large part of the cost of a claim they then pass on this reduction in risk by reducing your premium.

On that basis it would make no odds to the ins company whether you actually do have access to another car or not, however if you do not have then you could be seriously inconvenienced if you have an accident.
