Assuming I dont intend to claim, should I inform my insurance company of my accident anyway?

Thanks

Well that's an interesting question. If a tree falls in a forest with no one to hear it, then does it make a sound? If you are uber-honest, then yes, you need to inform your insurance company. If however you are more interested in saving yourself money, then no. I personally would opt for the latter :)

if there is no record of the accident and no claim has been made then there's no real way they can find out, however you would technically be lying to your insurance company which could have other implications?

Legally speaking; you are obliged to. Practically speaking; no, you shouldn't.
