Firstly i know there are a few links in the Stick but i was wondering what people would personally recommend? http://www.photoguard.co.uk seems alright, any use them?

I cant use house insurance as i'm a final year student about to move back home, and then god knows where in the near future.

It's for a standard D50 kit which i have just acquired :)

I got my camera + equipment put on my parents' insurance.. was dirt cheap too, much cheaper than individual insurance.

Covers me pretty much everywhere

Hmn thats a good idea but my mum (where i live) is moving this summer also. Good isnt it! lol.

Does no-one here use standalone insurance for their kit?

At the moment we use Entertainment & Leisure (E&L) as we do photography semi-professionally (weddings, portraits & proms) so use their professional cover.
I believe they also offer personal cover.

We have had no problems with them but then again, we have never claimed which is basically the real tester of an insurance policy/company.

We have now decided that the business is far too intrusive in our home lives and are giving it up so we will rely on the household insurance to cover us.
