As per the title, any good insurers for imports @ 25 years old with 4 years NCB? Tried a few for generic quotes on a GTO but am struggling to get under £1300 with declared mods of induction kit, Turbo Timer and dumpvalve (pretty standard mods).

Any help would be greatly appreciated

That seems rather high. I pay less than that

1) Do you have a history of performance cars? If not you have to expect to be stung as they expect you to crash it

2) Are you a paid member of a car club such as 200 Plus or maybe a GTO owners club?
This can get you as much as 15% off your quote, and when you consider that quote is well over a thousand, thats a lot...

I live in an area of Hartlepool called Owton Manor. It's not a good area - the MX-5 was around 700fc as a UK car. I park on the drive overnight which certainly doesn't help. I also use it to commute in and have to park in Hartlepool town centre -again, not good for insurance. Ok, it's not Manchester, but theft was a massive problem her in the 90's.

I have history of performance with Flux - 200SX and an MR2 but they came up with 1250 witha 500 xs. Not terribly arsed really, it's not outrageous to be fair.
