hi guys

I'm building my first gaming tower and can not decide on the best mobo for my needs !
It needs to be ;

1 easy to overclock for a novice (cpu / memory)
2 silent but fast
3 ideal for gaming
4 intel quad /dual core
5 future proof (well at least a few years )
6 easy to set up for a novice
7 surround sound a bonus but don't mind adding a card .

price is not really an issue although I don't wont to pay for extras that I don't need .
thanks for any help

I would recommend the Asus P5K deluxe or the Abit IP35 Pro.
Those are some excellent boards and definetly what you should look at. Another one that may interest you is the Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R... bit cheaper but does what you need from it and includes slots for DDR3 RAM if you ever got to that stage.

thanks guy's will probably go for the abit ip35 pro a bit worried about the flashing problems though :eek:
The GA-p35 -ds3r sounds like a bargain both are getting good reviews with the latter supporting ddr3 which may be of benefit in the future .
This pc building takes a lot of research :(
