Overclockers UK - people who have an interest in overclocking stuff

I overclock to get more bang for my buck - I may take a risk but I know that experience tells me it's worth it

Why would I pay to overclock? or rather why would I pay to unlock? It defeats the whole damn point in being an overclocking/unlocking enthusiast.

This is just a way for Intel to cash in, for some people it will be great - for the people who get the point, well, they will find a way to do it for nowt.... that was the whole point wasn't it? GETTING SOMETHING FOR FREE whether is be extra cores, frequency or hyper threading.

The 530 is an awesome chip for the money and anyone in their right mind on a budget, who is into overclocking, would just pay the extra 20 quid from the start.

i dont think its really aimed at enthusiasts.

my guess is that its aimed at joe public, people like my mam.

who think computers are slow and rubbish and work against you

if anything theywill trial it on the pentium range and assess its viability before implementing such a system on mid/high end

my friend the other day said it would be absolutely hilarious if we could torrent hardware.... he will love this :P

but only a tiny number of people will know how to do this, if they sell 50million how many will be hacked? 1 million? its nothing to them...

its a much a selling point to the masses as anything else
