You should have gone with Ryzen. No problem thereNice! I can't do anymore than 4000mhz with a cpu overclock in place. That is cl20 though

GSkill tridentZ 3600 c16. I7 8700k. Asus z370i strix. Seems like it wont make it 4500mhz @ 19 21 21 44
yesThe Strix isn't the right board if wanting to push things that far. Besides which most CPU will struggle to get past 4200Mhz even on boards that are validated.
This 3570k is not liking my gtx 1080.
yeah it should work fineFound my self 16gb of ddr4 cheap ordered it, just need the 8400 to come back in stock and drop so I can order.

Just to confirm with you guys that I ordered the right ram description says ddr4 16gb (2x8) 288-pin DIMM module.
Is this the right stuff I need for my 8400?
As in bottleneck?
yeah it should work fine
Yeah pretty bad stutter trying to play 2015 need for speed max settings, cpu is just at 100% whole time.
Just building a i5-8400 build for my nephew. This is at stock and no fiddling and pretty much matches the 7700k reference scores in single and multi on cpuz. Pretty good for £170 i thought.
Yeah it's hard to justify the extra £80-£90 for the unlocked one.
I'm waiting for them to come back in stock so I can pick one up.
cpuz 1.78?Huh. 8600K does around 613 on single thread and 3430 on multi. Thats quite a bit difference.

who said is stock...... 5.1Ghz with 4.5Ghz ring.Probbaly a different cpuz version. How would a 8600k be 25% faster than a 7700k in single thread stuff stock for stock?
ahhhhhhhhhwho said is stock...... 5.1Ghz with 4.5Ghz ring.
Here was he argument between 8400 or the 8600K which is unlocked and can be overclocked...ahhhhhhhhh
