I didnt know how pants intel wireless really was until today, I have recently purchased a new dir 635 n router, I know you need to get a draft n card to make it it work at n speeds, but when I used the router with the built in intel 3945 chipset on my notebook I got speeds of 1.4MBytes simply transfering a file to an ethernet connected machine.
I had a netgear 108mbs usb dongle lying around, I have never got it to connect at morethen 54g on any thing, yet it gave me 3.2MBytes transfering the same file.
I would go out and buy a new draft N card tomorrow, if there were any exprescard ones
intels sollution is fine but i didnt know 3rd party cards where so much better
