International calls to a mobile?

Hi there,

I'm trying to ring someone in Italy atm on their mobile. However, she gave me her dad's number instead, and she said to me that the call goes first through qatar. The beginning of the number is "00974" and the whole number is 12 digits long. The country code for qatar is infact "974", and the country code for Italy is 39.

Now i've tried all the possible combinations it could be, but could someone please help me here by giving me the correct number/codes i should put in?

No, all UK originating calls need to start with 00 to know it's going internationally so 00 974 would be right for Qatar. Don't know what's wrong with her number though.
