Be prepared for some high stress levels...

True dat.

:p

Indeed though, being a kitchen cleany helper sucks, be thankful for busy days when it isn't actually mind numbingly boring. Make sure you master the squirty gun too.

Ah yes

Friend currently works there and says they verbally abuse him

Should make for a few giggles

I've worked in kitchens twice now, and really enjoyed the job, they do verbally abuse you so much but u just have a laugh, I'm in the process of leaving my current computer job, to work in a resturant again. Cant wait lol. Pay is slightly less but would rather enjoy my job than hate it every day...

Yea i dont really take offence to what anybody says to me

Take it on the chin and have a laugh

My first job was washing pots in a hotel kitchen. Boy it got busy. I'd long for the hot summer days, as i found that people went out or didnt eat as much.
I remember my dad changing my CV saying that i was a Crockery Cleansing Technician. lol, makes me laugh everytime.

But seriously, get ready for lots of stress boyo! Good luck

sounds like you will do fine lol, see if you can do some waiting as well, if its a proper restuarant that is, I have met some brilliant people doing waiting years ago, that how i met my current gf of 1 & 1/2 year.

Be positive. Give the impression that you are going to work hard. Tell them about your experience work in a kitchen.

Ive always had a positive view of life, very optimistic too ;)

If im put in the position where im required to work hard i WILL work hard

Cheers lads for the chatter

There will be a lot of work lol, but if your a student wokring in a kitchen could be a bonus I us to get all my dinners cooker for me when i was working and got to take home loads of food that they wernt going to use.

My first job when I was 14 was washing pots in the kitchen. Had a great 2 years there, drank loads, ate loads, learned to juggle, took the **** all the time and and slept with most of the waitresses ! Youll love it, good luck mate! :)
