IP Address

Hi Guys

Just looking for a small bit information here, Doing a bit of work with a Windows Vista machine. When im trying to locate the IP address through Ipconfig /all it doesnt show.

I appreciate that it may come up as IPv4 address but this doesnt even show.

Do you chaps know if it is not showing for a particular reason or if i can locate it else where?

Any help would be great

What is it replaced by? 0.0.0.0?

If your looking for just the IP use "ipconfig" it'll cut a lot of information out.

It doesnt show anything its as if the line is completely missing.

So you type "ipconfig" or "ipconfig /all" in a command prompt and it returns nothing???

Is it being assinged by DHCP or static.

Instead of ipconfig go to the connection properties and hit details, anything appear in there?
