Yesterday I went in just to check my bios settings to make sure they were ok (system been running fine for over a week at 3GHZ). I enabled something called thermal control I believe and then saved and exited. However when the PC restarted it cannot get anywhere loading. I get to the page with the Abit logo and saying press tab or delete and it hangs on that page.

Is there anything I can do or is this a case of having to replace the bios chip?

Thanks

Have you tried removing the BIOS battery? Take the PSU of the mains remove the battery wait 30s-60s and that should clear the CMOS completly.

Hopefully that will get it booting again.

Is that also known as reseting the CMOS? Read something where you can switch the jumper for 3 mins and then move it back to original position?
