Iphone 3g P&G O2

My N95 is screwed and need a replacement. Kinda tempted by the Samsung 9100 but now with the Iphone 8GB its £350. Can the 3G model be unlocked easily or would I have to pay to get someone to do it?

I don't know the answer but even if you had to pay someone, after you've bought a £350 phone it's hardly a big deal...
