iPhone 4 newbie, couple of questions

Right then, on Friday I moved over to the dark side and got an iPhone 4. I've been an Android user ~2yrs previously so the concept of a Smartphone isn't new to me but I'm having a bit of a mare with iOS and I have a couple of questions for you lot...

1) Is it possible to set custom SMS/Email notification sounds?

2) If it's not possible to set custom SMS/Email notification sounds, can you at least set one tone for SMS and one for Email?

3) How do you save attachments in Mail? I've tried everything I can think of and nothing gives me a "Save attachment" dialogue box.

4) Is there any App like DoggCatcher on Android? It's a Podcatching app that checks for podcast feed updates at a set interval, if there are any new podcasts it downloads them. This was great for listening to new podcasts on my way in to work, at the moment I'm manually downloading them in iTunes however it's not ideal!

That's all I have on my list for now, all help is much appreciated :)

Thanks!

Questions 1 andd 3 can not be done as standard but can if you jailbreak the phone. Can get attachmentsaver in cydia which intergrates directly into the mail app.

2. You can do but it's just one sound for email which you can't change

Not sure about your 4th question as I don't do podcasts myself but I don't believe you can and will need to be synched via iTunes like you do now. However I'm happy to be corrected on that.

Thanks for the replies chaps.

It's a shame that the iPhone is missing some very basic functionality (custom notifications, ability to edit/save attachments) out of the box - the interface is cracking but I think Android topples iOS in terms of functionality so far (I've only had the phone a couple of days though).

Also, Downcast does exactly what I was looking for in a Podcatcher and it's only £1.20 or so :)

Thanks again.

iTunes running on a computer will act as a podcatcher... You can set it so it downloads any new subscribed podcasts whenever you launch it. :)

Having it as an App on the phone if far more handy though, no need to synch to much...
